A heat pump is only as good as its installation. The unit on the wall gets the attention, but it’s the electrical work behind it (the circuit, the switchboard, the cable runs) that decides whether it runs efficiently and safely for the next fifteen years. That’s the part we do properly.
The electrical side, done right
Every heat pump we wire gets a dedicated circuit, sized for the unit and protected at the switchboard. Before we start, we check your switchboard has the capacity, and if it doesn’t, we’ll tell you honestly and quote the upgrade rather than overloading what’s there. Cabling is run tidily and concealed wherever possible, because a clean install should look clean.
We work on single-room high-wall units, multi-room and ducted systems, and commercial air conditioning across Napier, Hastings, and wider Hawke’s Bay: for homeowners, landlords meeting Healthy Homes requirements, and businesses keeping staff and customers comfortable.
Certified, not just connected
Heat pump electrical work is prescribed electrical work under New Zealand law, and every install we complete is tested and certified with the paperwork to prove it. If you’re getting a unit supplied through a heat pump retailer, we’re happy to handle just the electrical side and coordinate directly with the installer.
Honest advice before you buy
Not sure what size unit you need, or where it should go? Ask us before you buy. We see the results of poorly placed and undersized units all the time, and five minutes of advice can save you years of an underperforming system.
